Upcoming AIIMS Colleges in India
In addition to the 20 existing AIIMS colleges, the government has announced plans to establish four new AIIMS institutes in the following locations:
AIIMS Awantipora, Kashmir Region
AIIMS Manethi, Haryana
AIIMS Darbhanga, Bihar
AIIMS Manipur
The Union Cabinet has approved a proposal to set up these new AIIMS colleges, aligning with the government’s vision of improving healthcare accessibility and the doctor-patient ratio.
Government’s Vision
The primary goal behind establishing new AIIMS branches is to create a balanced doctor-patient ratio, addressing the increasing healthcare demands of the population. The government is also focused on expanding the number of MBBS and postgraduate seats in these colleges to combat the shortage of medical professionals and enhance the quality of healthcare services across the country.
These efforts aim to strengthen India’s healthcare infrastructure and provide quality medical education to a broader audience.
