Arunachal Pradesh has only one Government Medical College, Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun, established in 2018 and affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University. The institute offers 100 MBBS seats and is attached to a 500-bed teaching hospital. It is named after Tomo Riba, the second Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Currently, there are no Private Medical Colleges in the state.

The Arunachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other Allied Health Science courses is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research (DMETR) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The Directorate was established in 2013 and is responsible for managing medical education, nursing institutes, pharmacy colleges, paramedical education, and counselling for professional medical courses in the state.
About the Counselling Authority
The Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research (DMETR) conducts the combined counselling process for admission to MBBS, BDS, GNM, ANM, and various Paramedical Courses under the State Quota. Candidates who qualify for the NEET UG examination are eligible to participate in the counselling process as per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authority.

Candidates seeking admission through Arunachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026 must complete the online registration process on the official counselling portal. Follow the steps below carefully to complete your application successfully.
Step 1 : Online Registration
- Visit the official counselling website: https://apmc.ap.gov.in/
- Click on the New Registration link.
- Fill in all the required personal and academic details.
- Enter details such as Candidate Name, Gender, Nationality, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Category, Disability Status, Educational Qualification, Email ID, Mobile Number and Communication Address.
- Verify all entered details carefully before submitting the application form.
Step 2 : Upload Documents
- Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (JPG/JPEG, 15 KB – 100 KB, 150 × 200 pixels).
- Upload your signature on white paper using blue or black ink (JPG/JPEG, 4 KB – 100 KB, 150 × 100 pixels).
- Upload all supporting documents in a single PDF file (Maximum Size: 500 KB).
- Documents generally include Class X Certificate, Date of Birth Proof, Nativity Proof, Category Certificate (if applicable), and other required certificates.
Step 3 : Preview Uploaded Documents
- Preview the uploaded photograph and signature.
- Ensure that both images are clear and uploaded in the correct fields.
- If any image is blurred or incorrect, upload it again before final submission.
Step 4 : Declaration & Final Submission
- Review all the information entered in the application form.
- Accept the declaration after verifying all details.
- Click on the Final Submit button.
- After successful submission, an Application Number/Login ID will be generated.
- Keep the generated Application Number and Password safely for future login.
Step 5 : Payment of Registration Fee
- Proceed to the online payment page.
- Pay the registration fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or other available online payment modes.
- Download and save the payment receipt for future reference.
- Ensure that the payment is completed before the last date specified by the counselling authority.

After successful registration, candidates must participate in the counselling process conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Follow the steps below to complete the admission process.
Step 1 : Online Registration
- Visit the official Arunachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling portal.
- Click on the registration link and complete the registration process.
- Enter your personal details and NEET UG information carefully.
- Verify all information before submitting the registration form.
Step 2 : Document Verification
- Attend the document verification process at the designated verification centre.
- Carry all original documents along with self-attested photocopies.
- Only verified candidates will be eligible for choice filling and seat allotment.
Step 3 : Choice Filling & Locking
- Login using your Registration ID and Password.
- Select your preferred Medical Colleges in the desired order.
- Arrange the choices carefully according to your preference.
- Save and lock your choices before the deadline.
Step 4 : Seat Allotment
- Seats are allotted based on NEET UG Rank, reservation policy, eligibility and choices filled by the candidate.
- Check the seat allotment result on the official counselling website.
- Download the provisional allotment letter after seat allotment.
Step 5 : Reporting to the Allotted College
- Report to the allotted Medical College within the prescribed schedule.

Step 6 : Upgradation (Optional)
- Candidates who wish to upgrade their allotted seat may participate in the next round of counselling.

Important Fee Guidelines
- The above fee structure is subject to revision by the Government of India from time to time.
- Students are required to pay the prescribed annual fee as notified by the Government and the Institute.
- Annual fees for the second and subsequent academic years must be deposited between 1st August and 14th August every year.
- An additional grace period of 15 days may be provided for fee payment along with the applicable late payment penalty.
- If a student fails to pay the prescribed fees within the stipulated period without prior permission, his/her name may be struck off from the institute rolls and attendance will not be granted.
- The refundable caution deposit will be released only after submission of the No Due Certificate on successful completion of the MBBS course.
- No security deposit or caution money will be refunded to candidates who do not join the course or discontinue their studies before completion.
