Step 1: Online Registration

• Visit the official website: https://gmch.gov.in/.
• Click on the Registration link.
• Fill in all required details including:
• Candidate's Name
• Gender
• Nationality
• Nativity
• Aadhaar Number
• Date of Birth
• Category
• Disability Status
• Educational Qualification
• Email ID
• Mobile Number
• Communication Address
• Verify all details carefully and submit the application form.

Step 2: Upload Documents

• Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (15 KB–100 KB, JPG/JPEG, 150 × 200 pixels).
• Upload your signature (4 KB–100 KB, JPG/JPEG, 150 × 100 pixels).
• Upload all required certificates as a single PDF (Maximum 500 KB).
• Class X (SSLC) Certificate.
• Proof of Nativity.
• Proof of Date of Birth.
• Category/Reservation Certificates (if applicable).

Step 3: Preview Uploaded Documents

• Preview the uploaded photograph and signature.
• Ensure both images are clear and correctly placed.
• If required, re-upload the images before final submission.
• Verify all uploaded documents carefully.

Step 4: Final Submission

• Review all entered information.
• Accept the declaration.
• Click the Final Submit button.
• An Application Number will be generated.
• Application Number and Password will also be sent through Email and SMS.

Step 5: Application Fee Payment

• Proceed to the online payment page.
• Pay through Internet Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card.
• Download and save the payment receipt.
• Complete the payment before the last date.

Step 1: Registration

Register online through the official counselling portal using your personal details and NEET UG information.

Step 2: Document Verification

Attend the document verification session with all original certificates including NEET scorecard, mark sheets, identity proof, domicile and category certificates.

Step 3: Choice Filling

Log in using your credentials, fill your preferred college choices, save them and lock the choices before the deadline.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

Seats are allotted according to NEET rank, reservation rules and candidate preferences. Download the allotment letter after declaration.

Step 5: Reporting to College

Report to the allotted medical college within the prescribed schedule and complete admission formalities with fee payment.

Step 6: Upgradation (Optional)

Candidates not satisfied with the allotted seat may participate in subsequent counselling rounds for seat upgradation.

NRI Admission Fees

• Total Course Fee: US $110,000
• Registration Charges: US $1,000
• University Charges: As applicable.
• Refundable College Security: ₹50,000.
• All fees are payable at the time of admission.

Installment Facility

• 1st Year: US $60,000 + US $1,000 Registration + University Charges + ₹50,000 Security.
• 2nd Year: US $25,000 (Bank Guarantee valid up to December 2019).
• 3rd Year: US $25,000 (Bank Guarantee valid up to December 2020).

• Demand Draft in favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh.
• NRI candidates must pay through Bank Draft. Currency conversion charges will be borne by the candidate.

Refund Policy

• If the surrendered seat is filled, ₹1,000 (General/SC/PwD) or US $1,000 (NRI) will be deducted and the remaining amount will be refunded.
• If the vacated seat is not filled, the entire fee shall be forfeited.
• Only the refundable security amount will be returned after a written request.

Important Note

The above fee structure is tentative and is subject to revision by Punjab University. All MBBS admissions remain provisional until approved by Punjab University and the concerned regulatory authority.

Government Medical Colleges

Government Medical Colleges in Chandigarh have different cutoff lists for admissions under various quotas.

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ): The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), releases the college-wise and category-wise cutoff for candidates admitted through the 15% All India Quota.
• 85% State Quota: Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh conducts the counselling and releases the category-wise cutoff for admission under the 85% State Quota seats.

Private Medical Colleges

Private Medical Colleges generally prepare separate merit lists for different admission quotas.

• 50% State Quota: Cutoff released by Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh for seats filled under the State Quota.
• 35% Management Quota: Category-wise cutoff released for candidates seeking admission through the Management Quota.
• 15% NRI Quota: Separate cutoff released for eligible NRI candidates applying under the NRI Quota.
