Government Medical Colleges in Goa
Goa has only one Government Medical College, Goa Medical College, Panaji, which was established in 1963. The college is affiliated with Goa University and is managed by the State Government. It is the oldest and premier medical institution in the state.
A total of 200 MBBS seats are available in Goa through this Government Medical College. At present, there are no Private Medical Colleges in Goa offering MBBS admissions.

Goa NEET UG Counselling & Admission 2026
Goa NEET UG Counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa for admission to MBBS courses under the 85% State Quota. Candidates who qualify the NEET UG examination are eligible to participate in the counselling process by submitting an online application through the official counselling portal.
Admissions to Government Medical Colleges in Goa are carried out on the basis of the NEET UG Merit List. While the application process is completed online, document verification and counselling are conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa as per the official schedule.
The remaining 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are filled through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the All India Counselling process.

Goa NEET UG 2026 Counselling Registration
Online Registration
- Visit the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa.
- Click on the Goa NEET UG Counselling Registration link.
- Fill in the required details such as Candidate Name, Gender, Nationality, Nativity, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Category, Disability Status, Educational Qualification, Email ID, Mobile Number and Communication Address.
- Review all the entered information carefully before submitting the application form.
- Submit the registration form successfully.
Upload Documents
- Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph with a white background (15 KB–100 KB, 150 × 200 pixels, JPG/JPEG format).
- Upload your signature on white paper using blue/black ink (4 KB–100 KB, 150 × 100 pixels, JPG/JPEG format).
- Upload all required supporting documents in a single PDF file (maximum size 500 KB).
- Mandatory documents include Class X Certificate, Nativity Proof, Date of Birth Proof and other applicable category or qualification certificates.
Preview Uploaded Images
- Preview the uploaded photograph and signature before final submission.
- Ensure both images are clear and uploaded in the correct fields.
- If required, re-upload the images before proceeding further.
Declaration & Final Submission
- Review the complete application form carefully.
- Select the declaration checkbox after verifying all the information.
- Click on the Final Submit button.
- After successful submission, an Application/Registration Number will be generated.
- The application number and password will also be sent to your registered Email ID and Mobile Number for future login.
Application Fee Payment
- Click on the payment link available after successful registration.
- Pay the application fee through Internet Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card.
- Download and keep the payment receipt safely for future reference.
- Bank or Payment Gateway charges, if applicable, are to be borne by the candidate.
- Ensure that the payment is completed before the last date specified by the counselling authority.

Registration

- Enter your personal details, NEET UG Roll Number, Rank and other required information.
- Verify all the entered details carefully.
- Submit the registration form successfully.
Document Verification
- After registration, attend the document verification process at the designated verification centre.
- Carry all original documents along with photocopies for verification.
- The counselling authority will verify your eligibility before allowing you to participate in choice filling.
Choice Filling
- Log in to the counselling portal using your Login ID and Password.
- Select your preferred medical colleges in order of priority.
- Review your choices carefully before locking them.
- Submit and lock your choices before the prescribed deadline.
Seat Allotment
- Seats are allotted based on NEET UG Rank, reservation category, seat availability and choices filled by the candidate.
- Check the seat allotment result by logging into the official counselling portal.
- If satisfied, download the allotment letter and proceed for admission.
- If not satisfied, you may participate in the subsequent counselling rounds.
Reporting to Allotted College
- Report to the allotted medical college within the prescribed reporting schedule.
- Submit all original documents for verification.
- Pay the admission fee and complete all admission formalities.
Upgradation (Optional)
- Candidates who wish to obtain a better college can participate in the upgradation round.
- Fresh choice filling may be required as per the counselling schedule.
