Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026

Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026 is conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) for admission to MBBS, BDS and BAMS courses offered by Government, Private and Minority Medical Colleges in Telangana. Candidates who qualify NEET UG are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Admission to 85% State Quota MBBS and BDS seats is carried out through Telangana State Counselling conducted by KNRUHS, while the remaining 15% All India Quota seats are filled through MCC counselling.

Step 1 : Online Registration

Visit the official KNRUHS counselling portal and click on the online registration link. Fill in all the required details carefully before submitting the application.

  • Visit the official website of KNRUHS.
  • Click on Telangana NEET UG Counselling Registration.
  • Enter Candidate Name.
  • Select Gender.
  • Choose Nationality.
  • Enter Nativity Details.
  • Provide Aadhaar Number.
  • Enter Date of Birth.
  • Select Category.
  • Specify Disability Status (if applicable).
  • Enter Educational Qualification.
  • Provide Email ID and Mobile Number.
  • Fill Communication Address.
  • Verify all information before submitting the application.

Step 2 : Upload Documents

After successful registration, candidates need to upload scanned documents in the prescribed format and size.

  • Recent Passport Size Colour Photograph (15 KB – 100 KB, JPG/JPEG, 150 × 200 pixels).
  • Signature on White Paper using Blue/Black Ink (4 KB – 100 KB, JPG/JPEG, 150 × 100 pixels).
  • All supporting certificates combined into a single PDF (Maximum 500 KB).
  • Class X (SSC) Certificate.
  • Proof of Nativity.
  • Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Category Certificate (if applicable).
  • Educational Qualification Certificates.

Step 3 : Preview Uploaded Images

  • Preview uploaded photograph and signature.
  • Ensure images are clear and properly visible.
  • Re-upload images if required.
  • Verify that Photograph and Signature are uploaded in the correct fields.

Step 4 : Declaration & Final Submission

  • Review all details entered in the application form.
  • Select the Declaration checkbox.
  • Click on the Final Submit button.
  • Application Number will be generated.
  • Application Number and Password will also be sent through SMS and Email.

Step 5 : Application Fee Payment

  • Click on the Fee Payment link.
  • Pay through Internet Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card.
  • Download and save the payment receipt.
  • Payment Gateway Charges are to be borne by the candidate.

Step 2 : Document Verification

After successful registration, candidates must attend the document verification process at the designated verification centre.

  • Carry NEET UG Admit Card and Score Card.
  • Carry Class 10th and 12th Mark Sheets & Certificates.
  • Carry Aadhaar Card, Passport or any valid Photo ID.
  • Carry Category Certificate (if applicable).
  • Carry Domicile/Nativity Certificate.
  • Carry Passport Size Photographs.

Step 3 : Choice Filling

  • Login using the User ID and Password.
  • Select preferred Medical and Dental Colleges.
  • Arrange colleges in order of preference.
  • Save and Lock the choices before the deadline.

Step 4 : Seat Allotment

  • Seat allotment is based on NEET Rank, Reservation Policy and Choices Filled.
  • Check the allotment result on the official website.
  • Download the Provisional Allotment Letter.
  • Accept the allotted seat or participate in the next counselling round.

Step 5 : Reporting to Allotted College

  • Report to the allotted Medical College within the prescribed schedule.
  • Pay the admission fee.
  • Complete admission and document verification at the institute.

Step 6 : Upgradation Round (Optional)

  • Candidates willing to upgrade their allotted seat can participate in the next counselling round.
  • Fresh choice filling and seat allotment will be conducted.

Telangana MBBS Seat Matrix 2019

Telangana had 32 Medical Colleges offering MBBS courses in 2019, including 10 Government Medical Colleges, 18 Private Non-Minority Medical Colleges, and 4 Private Minority Medical Colleges. A total of 4,600 MBBS seats were available across all medical colleges in the state.

Out of the total seats, 1,550 seats were available in Government Medical Colleges, while 3,050 seats were offered by Private Medical Colleges (including Minority Colleges). Government seats were divided into All India Quota (15%) and State Quota (85%). Private college seats were distributed among Category-A (Convenor), Category-B (Management), and Category-C (NRI).

Telangana MBBS Fee Structure 2019 was released by the Government of Telangana and KNR University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS). The fee structure includes Government Medical Colleges, ESIC Medical College, Non-Minority Private Medical Colleges and Minority Private Medical Colleges. Candidates admitted through State Quota, Management Quota (Category-B) and NRI Quota (Category-C) were required to pay tuition fees as prescribed by the Government.

The Government of Telangana prescribed the following tuition fee structure for admission into Non-Minority Private Medical Colleges for the academic session 2019-20. The fee remained subject to any further orders issued by the Government of Telangana.

Important Instructions for Management Quota Students

S.No. Instruction
1 Candidates admitted under Management Quota Category-B and Category-C (NRI) must pay the prescribed tuition fee through Demand Draft in favour of the Principal of the allotted Medical College.
2 The tuition fee must be paid on the day of reporting to the allotted college.
3 Failure to pay the tuition fee within the stipulated joining period will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
4 Registration and Processing Fee was fixed at ₹5,000 (Bank transaction charges extra).
5 Candidates had to produce original certificates along with the required Demand Draft during counselling.
6 Without original certificates and University Fee Demand Draft, candidates were not permitted for online counselling.
7 Tuition fee was payable directly to the allotted medical college at the time of admission.
8 Selected candidates were required to submit Bank Guarantee for the remaining period of study wherever applicable.

Important Rules Regarding Telangana MBBS Fee Structure 2019

1 Tuition fee was payable annually for all four academic years of the MBBS course.
2 Students admitted before the academic year 2019 continued to pay the same tuition fee that was applicable at the time of their admission.
3 Students admitted during 2019 were required to pay the same annual tuition fee throughout the entire MBBS course.
4 Medical colleges were permitted to collect tuition fee only for the current academic year in advance.
5 Institution managements could obtain a Bank Guarantee towards tuition fee for the remaining years of study wherever applicable.
6 Any revision in fee structure could be implemented only through subsequent Government Orders.
7 Failure to deposit the prescribed tuition fee within the stipulated joining period could result in cancellation of admission.
8 University fee was non-refundable and had to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of "The Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences", payable at Warangal.

The Telangana MBBS Fee Structure 2019 clearly differentiated tuition fees for Government Medical Colleges, ESIC Medical College, Non-Minority Private Medical Colleges and Minority Medical Colleges. While Government College fees remained affordable, Management (Category-B) and NRI (Category-C) seats carried substantially higher tuition fees. Candidates were advised to pay the prescribed fee within the stipulated time to avoid cancellation of admission during KNRUHS counselling.

Telangana MBBS Cutoff 2024 is the minimum NEET rank and score required for admission into Government and Private Medical Colleges through different counselling quotas. To be eligible for 85% State Quota seats in Government and Private Medical/Dental Colleges of Telangana, candidates must satisfy the prescribed local eligibility criteria. Candidates who do not qualify as local candidates may still be eligible for the 15% Unreserved Quota or Management Quota as per KNRUHS guidelines.

Eligibility for 85% Telangana State Quota Seats (Local Candidate)

Rule Eligibility Criteria
4-Year Study / Residence Rule Candidate must have studied for four consecutive academic years in an educational institution located in Telangana immediately before appearing in the qualifying examination (Intermediate/Class 12), OR must have continuously resided in Telangana for four consecutive years immediately preceding the qualifying examination.
7-Year Study Rule Candidate must have studied in Telangana for seven consecutive academic years prior to the qualifying examination. If studies were completed in more than one local area, eligibility shall be determined based on the area where the candidate studied for the longest duration. In case of equal duration, the area where the candidate last studied will be considered.
7-Year Residence Rule Candidates who have not studied in Telangana but have resided in the State continuously for seven consecutive years immediately before the qualifying examination shall be treated as local candidates of the respective local area.

Eligibility for 15% Unreserved (Open) Quota

Eligibility for Management Quota Seats
