Introduction

In compliance with the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 23/03/2012 passed in I.A No.16/2012 in Civil Appeal No.1944 of 1993 – Anand S. Biji Vs State of Kerala & Others and vide order dated 09/05/2017 passed in Writ Petition (C) No.267 of 2017 – Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust & Others Vs MCI & Others, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting online counselling for:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for UG courses.
  • 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats for PG courses.
  • 100% Super Specialty seats for DM/MCh courses.

The counselling process is conducted as per Gazette Notifications of NMC, various Court Orders and notifications issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW).

Types of Counselling

All NEET UG, PG and Super Specialty aspirants are hereby informed that MCC under DGHS conducts counselling for the following categories:

UG Counselling
  • 15% All India Quota seats of all states including the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • 100% MBBS/BDS seats of BHU.
  • 100% MBBS seats of AIIMS across India.
  • 100% JIPMER seats of Puducherry and Karaikal.
  • 100% MBBS seats of AMU.
  • 85% State Quota seats of Delhi University and IP University institutions including VMMC, ABVIMS and ESIC Dental College.
  • 100% Faculty of Dentistry seats of Jamia Millia Islamia along with 5% internal quota seats for Jamia students.
  • 15% IP Quota seats of ESIC institutions.
PG Counselling

MCC conducts PG counselling for the following institutions and universities:

  • 50% All India Quota PG seats of all states including Jammu & Kashmir.
  • 100% seats of Central Universities including AMU, BHU, University of Delhi and Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions.
  • 100% seats of all Deemed Universities.
  • 50% AIQ PG seats under Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) institutions for wards of insured persons.
  • Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions (Registration only).
Super Specialty Counselling

MCC has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting counselling for 100% DM/MCh seats of participating State, Private and Deemed Universities across India by DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, excluding Institutes of National Importance (INI).
